Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, analytical, and highly organized Disaster Recovery (DR) Specialist to ensure the resilience and continuity of our critical business operations. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust disaster recovery strategies, conducting regular testing, and ensuring that our IT infrastructure can recover swiftly from unforeseen disruptions. Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development: Design, document, and maintain comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) aligned with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.

Infrastructure Resilience: Collaborate with IT teams to implement data backup solutions, high-availability clusters, and redundant systems across on-premises and cloud environments.

Testing & Exercises: Plan and execute periodic disaster recovery simulations (tabletop exercises and full-scale technical drills) to validate recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO).

Incident Management: Act as a key responder during system failures or security incidents, leading technical recovery efforts and coordinating communication with stakeholders.

Risk Assessment: Perform regular Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical applications, assess potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.

Compliance & Audit: Ensure all DR documentation is current, audit-ready, and adheres to industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and internal security policies.

Continuous Improvement: Evaluate system performance following tests or incidents, identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions to optimize the recovery process.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CBCP, DRII, or cloud-specific certifications like AWS/Azure) are highly preferred.

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or dedicated business continuity and disaster recovery roles.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in backup/replication technologies and cloud-native recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, Zerto, AWS DR, Azure Site Recovery).

Deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, storage area networks (SAN), and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).

Strong background in data integrity verification and automated monitoring tools.
